Newforest Marathon · 8 September 2019

As guardians of the Amazon, the most iconic forest on the planet, we bring together the power of science and technology, traditional knowledge of local peoples, and the support of everyday people to create innovative conservation solutions that balance the needs of people and nature.

Story

So Beth and I will be running the new forest Marathon (26.2 miles) on the 8th of September!!!! We are struggling to remember exactly why? I can tell you that the training has been a serious testament to our head strength as well as our leg strength (and every other muscle)!!!

We have wanted to make this challenge even more worth while by ensuring that our support from friends and family goes further than cheerleading (although we cannot tell you how grateful we are for that as well) but we had been very undecided on which charity to raise money for.

However as you are all probally aware .. in be last few days the horrors that have been happening in the Amazon rainforest have been released to the press. This news was a huge shock to us and we knew exactly what we had to do. There couldn't be a more important or more timely cause to raise money for.

So please help us!

It will help us drag our butts round every mile knowing that we are making a difference!

And if you are in doubt .. thinking you will donate and we wont make it . You could not be more wrong. We have trained relentlessly for this and there is not a cell in either of out bodies that doubts that we will smash it!!
