Story
On 22nd February 2017 my beautiful niece Sophie Charlotte was born. In the July of the same year we received the worst news our family had faced, Sophie was diagnosed with cancer. She started treatment but sadly on the 9th October 2017 Sophie lost her battle and passed away with her parents by her side. In the midst of the heartbreak our family faced Shooting Star were a constant support offering counselling and access to support. They still remain a big part of our support network and I am honoured to be able to help raise money for such an incredible charity who do so much for families facing difficult times and those with that time still to face.
Sadly due to the Covid-19 lockdown restrictions the walk was unable to go ahead so I will be walking virtually in June this year instead!
Get together with your family and friends and join us on our annual Sunrise Walk in Richmond. Every step you take will help make every moment count for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. Now in it's eighth year, the Sunrise Walk has so far attracted over 2,700 walkers who have raised an impressive £470,000. By taking part in Sunrise Walk Richmond 2020 you can help us reach our target of £70,000 so we can continue to provide a lifeline to families living in unimaginable circumstances.
