The London Marathon 2022 for Meningitis

London Marathon 2022 · 2 October 2022 ·
In 2022 I am running the London marathon and doing tough mudder with my best friend Mikey, my partner Harry and my brother Aaron for everyone affected by meningitis, in particular my brother sadly lost his close friend to Meningitis, Ryan Sweatman.
£141220.93 has been raised so far in memory of Ryan. If you would like to know more about his story please visit: https://www.meningitis.org/remembrance-funds/ryan-sweatman
For those who don’t know a lot about Meningitis, Meningitis is the inflammation of the membranes that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. 1 in 20 cases of this disease result in death and 1 in 5 survivors have permanent effects such as skin scars, limb amputation(s), hearing loss, seizures and brain damage. It is most common in children and young adults. The symptoms can often be confused with those of a cold or fever, resulting in the disease being dismissed by many, including GPs. The disease acts fasts and often this mistake can make it too late. This just makes it even more vital to fund research to help find a cure and research the disease.
Every little helps whether that is £5 or £10! Even a few pennies! Donations gratefully received.
Let’s make a difference and make the future brighter ❤️
