Story

In two weeks I am joining a team of avid supporters of my late dad to run the relay of the Belfast Marathon in aid of Crossroads NI - which he helped to set up.

Our relay team of fantastic people include his partner Cate Scally and her daughter Hanna. Daryl Maxwell, Hanna's boyfriend, will be running the whole marathon by himself for the same cause. I can only assume this is because he couldn't find any friends for a team. Regardless we should applaud his efforts rather than critique his lonely status. Bravo sir! It is hugely appreciated!

I have been told that the average age of our team is high but I am still confident that we can bring in a world record breaking time. Particularly as I have been landed with the longest leg - no hard feelings guys.

For those of you who don't know about Crossroads NI, it is a local charity that helps support sick or disabled children and adults, children and young people who care for a family member as well as helping elderly isolated people.

All your pennies will be most welcome.
