Climbing Mt Elbrus in Russia · 23 March 2021

LimbPower offer relief to the physically disabled by aiding rehabilitation and improving the quality of life through the medium of recreational and competitive sports and arts, for the locomotor disabled.

Story

Once it is safe to travel I will be joining an expedition with HST Adventures to climb Mt Elbrus in Russia with a team of amputees and able-bodied people who have retired from their duties in the military.

To join forces and raise awareness on what amazing things can be achieved being an amputee and living with PTSD. My Dad served in the Gulf War and returned a different man, thankfully he is now in control and happy but raising awareness for PTSD is also a cause close to my heart.

People close to me are aware that I have been on a journey of self-acceptance and struggled with my lack of confidence living with a disability and being different. This is why I am passionate to show that even what seems impossible can be achieved even if we have a disadvantage.

I was pleased to conquer Mt Kilimanjaro in 2019 and I hope I can do everyone proud and add Mt Elbrus to my list. Thank you very much for your donation. It means a lot to me and LimbPower.
