Hello everyone, I have decided to set up a JG page to raise some money for this amazing charity.
In January 2022 my Dad was diagnosed with lung, brain and bone cancer, although he had a successful brain operation in April 2022 and a short chemo cycle it wasn't enough and in October last year we was told the devastating news that nothing else could be done.
Dad had been assigned a lovely palliative care nurse, Nicola from Springhill Hospice and she became a trusted person within our family. In November Dad was deteriorating and becoming weak, so with the backing of Nicola, Dad was given a bed in the hospice.
I honestly can't fault their services and believe they are paramount to our loved ones. They offer support to families as well as the patient themselves even if it's just a chat. All staff who have been involved with my Dad have been wonderful and the way they support their patients is like they're looking after their own.

The cost of running Springhill Hospice is around £8000 per day and is heavily reliant on donations. So I have decided to set up a page for anyone who would like to donate however I am also selling certain gifts that I will donate £1 per item of sale to this charity.
