..Our Aim is to give every child & young person (0-25) that has been given a cancer diagnoses in Uk & Ireland a FREE Bandana. Bandanas for the Brave is a Charity that has been set up after my own son lost his hair, when going through a long course of chemotherapy, for his Brain tumour in 2010.

Story

At the end of 2020 our little girl was diagnosed with Juvenile Cell Granuloma a type of ovarian cancer, stage 1C. Following the diagnosis she had two surgeries and 4 rounds of chemo. She was cared for and treated by the most amazing doctors and nurses at Vinmec hospital in Hanoi. Although it was an incredibly challenging time, the kindness of others made everything a little easier.

On Saturday 8th of May, I am doing a sprint triathlon in DaNang (750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run). Although I have been training carefully for this, I am still terrified about completing the challenge. This fear however, pales into insignificance when I think about young children who have or are going through cancer treatments.

I would also like to try and raise some money for an amazing charity that gifted us toys, bandanas and a hand made quilt during Moo’s chemo. If you are able to donate anything please support Bandanas for the Brave.
