Story

COVID has impacted and continued to impact the whole country in a variety of ways. Whilst staying in more and wearing masks while out is inconvenient and uncomfortable at times there are some people who can’t go out at all and have found it hard to access essentials. Some people are unable to even do the things we’re all told we need to. For example how do you wash your hands more when you don’t have a bed never mind a sink?

I’m looking to raise funds for the most vulnerable people in Greater Manchester including the homeless and hope that people will be willing to part with their hard earned cash to see me with no hair! Everyone who knows me has seen me with every colour/ style imaginable and now I’m getting it all chopped off and hope people can give whatever they can and together we can help the people who need it most!

Official story of Covaid:

The Coronavirus outbreak has left many people across Greater Manchester struggling for access to food, basics and other support. Many of them are self-isolating, often in fragile health and alone. Public services have been working hard to find and help them, but we know they are over-stretched and working round the clock. So the Manchester Evening News and the Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity have launched Covaid-19 - a fundraiser aimed at supporting those who most need help. We know not everybody will be able to afford to donate at the moment, with times tight for many of us. But for anyone who can, a donation of even a small amount will make a difference.Funds will be distributed via the mayor of Greater Manchester's charity.
