In 2020 my beautiful sister lost her first son Bobby in March and her second son Oliver in September. Two perfect babies whose lives were cut painfully short due to rare conditions. You never think it will be your family. 

The death of my nephews has left huge holes in our lives and SANDs help to bring some comfort to my sister in her darkest times. 

I have also found sands support to be fantastic after really struggling to keep going at work as normal whilst grieving and attending my nephews funeral in between shifts. The support groups are an essential place you’re able to share your feelings with other people who get the pain. I want to give back to them so they can help more bereaved parents like my sister and their surrounding families especially during these difficult times.
