Team: Annies Angels

In memory of Ann Robinson
Gather your friends, family and colleagues and join our Moonlight Walk for a picturesque trail through Sevenoaks and stunning Knole Park. Every step you take, every pound you raise, will make a huge difference to all our patients and their loved ones

Story

My Grandma had fought a very long battle for many years but in the end needed end of life care and my Grandad needed some support with the next stage of treatment too. They got in touch with Hospice in the Weald who provided this care for my Grandma and continues to support my Grandad through this devastating time. It’s very important for me to fundraise and ultimately take part in the Moonlight Walk where I will be walking 8 miles for this charity so that another family can get the same treatment and support. This support is vital.

My Grandma was and is one of the most important people in my life. She always supported me, from my sexuality to graduating university, she was always there to give me support and advice. Throughout my life she has been a constant place for love too and a lot of my most important and valued childhood memories are with her. She played an incredibly important role in our family and her passing had a huge impact on all of our lives. In her memory, myself and some other family members and friends are taking part in the Moonlight Walk in her memory. My Grandma would never have realised how much of an impact she had on those around her.

Here is some more information about what they do. Hospice in the Weald provides care completely free of charge to patients with a terminal illness, and those important to them, in West Kent and northern East Sussex. This means we are there 24 hours a day to help, support and care for patients with an illness where a cure is no longer possible. Its not just at the end of life that Hospice in the Weald can help. We want to ensure that anyone affected by a terminal illness; not just patients, but also those important to them, can access the support they need when they need it.
