Snowdon Midnight Challenge · 7 June 2019 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

In June this year, I will be climbing to the summit of Mount Snowdon at midnight.
I am doing the trek with Alzeimers Society, to raise money for dementia and Alzeimers.

My lovely nan was diagnosed with Dementia for 10 years before she lost her battle, so this chartity had a special place in my heart.

Someone in the world develops dementia every 3 seconds. There were an estimated 46.8 million peopleworldwide living with dementia in 2015 and this number is believed to be close to 50 million people in 2017.

All the money raised goes towards helping reach everyone affected by dementia, wherever they are, whatever they’re going through. With the support, awareness and money we can raise they can find new treatments and, ultimately, a cure for dementia. To help the sufferers and the families everywhere ♥️

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
