If you personally have lack of time, energy or resources to travel to some far flung place to directly benefit others in severe poverty -No Worries. Simply feel just as great for giving by donating to my cause which will see every penny benefit the people who need it most because lucky enough I have the opportunity to witness first hand exactly where this money goes and who it effects.

The organisation volunteering Service Overseas has invested £7000 in me to head to the middle of nowhere to benefit others. My role is to improve healthcare, education along with sustainable community projects and HIV awareness just to name a few.

The plan is that come June 2013 I will be heading to Rajasthan, India for 3 months. I will be living and working at the heart of their community, gaining genuine insight into local customs and challenges which the people face. Check out the website for more details: http://www.vso.org.uk/

However the agreement is that every volunteer raises 5% of the project donations leaving me with the challenge of raising £800.
