Having never been a runner (or frankly someone who ever stuck at any exercise whatsoever!), I took up running for the 3rd time in my life about 5 years ago, to get some valuable ‘me’ time and as an easy way to exercise with 2 small children. For some reason, this time it stuck and despite being ridiculously slow, I still go out at least twice a week, every week, no matter the weather or how lazy I feel! I always said ‘someday’ I wanted to do the Oxford half, but every year there seemed some excuse. When our summer holiday was cancelled for the 2nd year in a row, suddenly there was no excuse anymore! 

This is a massive challenge for me - someone who has never taken to exercise and couldn’t run for more than 1 minute when I started running 5 years ago. Through sheer stubbornness I am determined to do this, despite how hard the training is proving to be! I really appreciate any donations you can give, especially as it’s for such a fantastic charity, and it will give me a much needed boost! Thank you :)

The last year has been incredibly difficult and challenging for everyone, but even more so for people that don't have a safe place to call home. Across the UK, thousands of people are still homeless and due to the pandemic this is set to rise even further.I am taking part in the Oxford Half Marathon in aid of Crisis to help make a difference..Homelessness is not inevitable and TOGETHER we can end it.
