Story
Hello,
Regretfully, I have been medically examined and advised not to compete in running the London Marathon in April 2015 due to a very worn right knee which is close to dislocating from too much road running. I was running the marathon in memory of a very special baby called William Radley. He was a very poorly chap when he was born and he put up a very brave fight on the Neonatal Unit, as did his wonderful family. I spent so many days and nights caring for William and I really bonded with him and grew to love his wonderful personality. William sadly lost his battle at less than five months of age, he still has a very special place in my heart.
As you can all imagine, I am devestated having to pull out of the marathon, but Im not prepared to give up easily. I still want to set myself a personal challenge and continue to fundraise in William's memory.
Therefore, I will be running the marathon distance of 26.2 miles on a treadmill at my gym as Im not prepared to let William and his family down. I'm rising to this huge challenge in William's memory and I know all the money I raise will help many other babies like William and their families.
Please dig deep, every penny will make such a difference.
Many thanks.
