Story

Thank you for visiting my page!

As a lot of you will know, my wonderful Papa was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2014. Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition which affects movement and speech as the nerve cells in the brain stop making the correct amount of Dopamine to control the movement in the body. I want to show my Papa how incredibly proud I am of him by to taking part in sponsored events and raising money for the fantastic charity that is Parkinson's UK.

Since Papa's diagnosis I did a 10,000ft skydive at Tilstock in June 2014, raising just under £1,500, and abseiled down Liverpool Cathedral in August 2015 raising £612.

This year, I challenged myself to take up running. I have now signed up to the We Love Manchester 10k on 9th July 2017, the English Half Marathon on 17th September 2017 and the Greater Manchester Marathon in April 2018 (date tbc).

I am determined to beat my current fundraising record and raise over £1,500 for Parkinson's UK and I would be so grateful if you could please help me get there!

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.
