Thames Path Mighty Hike 2021 · 17 July 2021 ·
After my car crash of a year (quite literally) of 2020 I was keen to do something to:
a) push myself
B) continue to make a difference difference
So what better way than hike 26 miles after being mostly sedentary for the better part of 6 months, going to an office based job after working in a busy youth hostel being on my feet, and recovering from injuries and illness. It’s bound to be hot - you know it will be a heatwave.
Macmillan means a lot as cancer charities have taken a real battering throughout the pandemic whilst our fundraising efforts collectively have been (rightly so) focussed on the NHS and support for mental health. Now it’s time to renew that energy and focus and help support those with diagnosis of cancer. Having lost several family members to this disease, but also those who have survived it, it’s something that I can 100% see the importance of the need for this and why I want to support this charity.
So please, dig deep in the back of the sofa for that £1 coins down chuck it my way.
The important bit:
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. At Macmillan, we give people with cancer everything we’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are our worries. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us.Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
