I have set myself a new challenge for March 2019! I will be running another marathon, not only will it be in Guatemala, but it will also involve running over the Pacaya volcano!!

As you may be aware, disaster struck in Guatemala earlier this year when a volcanic eruption had detrimental consequences on the community. Guatemala also face many other challenges with after-school care, lack of nutritious lunches, violence and crime, the list goes on...

Impact Marathon Series, other trail runners and myself will be heading out to Guatemala to run over Volcan Pacaya. We will also be participating in some charity work within the community over the week and hiking up volcano Acatenango, camping out on it and watching Fuego erupt slightly in the morning... What a sunrise hey?

Any donations that you could provide to support this fantastic cause would be greatly appreciated. (Along with the moral support for me because I am quite scared to go)!! haha. On the other hand, for once in my life I'll actually be warm 

So let the training begin... I'll be running the streets with bin liners underneath my running gear to get used to the heat, training on treadmills in a climatised environment, sitting in a sauna for long periods of time and hopefully by then I will be ready and raring to run!! xx
