I booked the Amsterdam Marathon in January 2020. It got canceled due to the pandemic and I ended up running the distance on my own in Exeter. 

Since then I have had a long journey recovering from a stress fracture and then from covid. But I am finally here - this will be my first marathon with crowds! 

All I ever wanted to do was raise money for DRC. The NHS is too stretched and does not have the capacity to support the mental health of people who suffer trauma from rape and sexual abuse. People need support immediately, not a year later. That is why the DRC service is so valuable.
