Three Peaks Challenge · 6 June 2015

Fight for Peace uses boxing and martial arts, combined with education and personal development to realise the potential of young people in communities affected by crime and violence. We inspire young people to reach their full potential - to be champions in the ring, and in life.

Story

Redburn Three Peaks Challenge

On June 6th, a team of eager Redburnites will try to summit the three highest mountains in each of Scotland, England and Wales in less than 24 hours to support the Fight for Peace Academy in London.

Fight for Peace uses boxing & martial arts combined with education and personal development to realise the potential of young people in communities that suffer from crime and violence.

Travelling the 460 miles between the three mountains will leave us around 13 hours to complete the 24 miles and over 3,000 metres of ascent required. (This is roughly three hours quicker than is considered 'a good pace'.)

Training for hilll walking in the south east of England presents its own chellenge, but intensive use of the new 'stand-up' desks and shunning the lifts to reach the seocnd floor are playing an important role.

In the mean time, all donations to the Fight for Peace Academy are very gratefully received.
