Red Noseband Day · 15 March 2013

Since its launch in 1988, Red Nose Day has become a British institution. It’s a time when people across the country get together and fundraise at home, school and work to support people living incredibly tough lives, and has raised over £1.3 billion to date.

Story

On Friday 15th March, horses at Lingfield Park and Wolverhampton racecourse will be joining in the fun of Red Nose Day by wearing special red nosebands in order to raise money for Comic Relief.

Owners and trainers will be kitting their runners out in red nosebands with course owners Arena Racing Company (ARC) kindly donating £250 to Comic Relief for every horse that wears one.

The charity challenge is being promoted by ARC and Lovetheraces.com, the website for people new to horseracing, and a number of trainers have already pledged their support to ‘Red Noseband Day’.
