Life Leisure's 'I Just Felt Like Running' Challenge
Life Leisure is raising money for Comic Relief
Story
Red Nose Day is back on Friday 17th March and the
team at Life Leisure will be taking part in the ‘I just felt like Running’
Challenge inspired by the film Forest Gump! The challenge is to run to each of their centres within the Stockport area which totals an impressive 19.5 miles!
Staff and Members have the choice to either run or bike from any centre for as long as they like, or they can do the whole lot! Red Noses and Forest Gump fancy dress is encouraged!
The route with timings is below:
- Houldsworth to Brinnington 2.1 miles (9am – 9.17am)
- Brinnington to SSV 1.9 miles (9.30am – 9.46am)
- SSV to Romiley 1.9 miles (10.00am-10.16am)
- Romiley to Hazel Grove 4.5 miles (10.30am – 11.06am)
- Hazel Grove to Cheadle 3.5 miles (11.20am – 11.48pm)
- Cheadle to Avondale 2 miles (12.05pm – 12.28pm)
- Avondale to Grand central 1.5 miles (12.45pm – 13.01pm)
- Grand Central to Houldsworth 2.1 miles (13.15pm-13.35pm)
19.5 Miles (8-minute mile pace)
Each stop will have a ‘hydration station’ and opportunities for donations and fun activities!
On the run up to the event on the 17th sites will have various challenges and activities with donation stations. We would love to have you take part in something with us!
