8 of us from the Zoopla office in Redruth, are trekking 25 km in the Brecon Beacons including up the nearly 900m high Pen y Fan to try and raise funds to help the air ambulance in their New Heli appeal.
The Cornwall Air Ambulance has flown over 28'000 missions since it was founded in 1987. With an average attendance time of 12 minutes to get to an incident the speed of response when it is needed the most is crucial for a rural county like Cornwall.
The current crop of helicopters are in need of an upgrade to make them suitable for 21st centuary equipment and needs. As such, the Air Ambulance are trying to raise £2.5million to fund a new helicopter to help keep Cornwall safe by saving time and saving more lives.
