Run for a Nurse - Richard Massey Memorial 5k · 27 May 2012 ·
Now then, Chances are you've ended up here following a link from me or one of my pals also doing the run.
As you may or may not know, one of my best friends, Adam, lost his dad earlier this year. Paul or Mr. Tranter as i knew him was a wonderful man, who throughout a 7 year battle with leukaemia, carried on with dignity, a sense of humour and a strength unknown to most mortals.
I'm not going to suggest i know what the last 7 years have been like for Adam and his family but i do know that at the hadest of times, Cure Lukemia were there. Over the last few months, paul tragically passed, Adam himself has been incredibly strong and brave in the toughest of times, to me he is an inspiration .
When he mentioned to us about the run, im not gonna lie, i'd had a beer and i i was still nervous about it! but nothing would make me prouder that to raise money in the memory of such a top man!
So if you would like to, please give to such a great cause, Lukemia can affect anyone, and the couple of Quid you donate could make all the difference. Im also willing, to make it a bit more interesting, to pay back half, whatever you sponsor if i dont make it round in under 30 minutes, Dont forget 10 minute miles arent easy for a fat lad!
If you want to come cheer us on/laugh at me whilst were doing it you are more than welcome, as long as you donate and bring an oxygen tank!
Whatever you can spare will be a great help, and il love you a little bit for giving it.
Yours, and more importantly Paul's,
Reeg
