Story
When I turned 30 earlier this year, I wanted to set myself new goals and take on new challenges so I decided to sign up for the Ironman 70.3 Finland Triathlon.
Featuring a 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21km run, I knew that this would challenge me, physically and mentally, but I wanted to do it for a bigger and higher purpose.
I have therefore chosen to fundraise £30,000 for care.org, a charity dedicated to ending poverty and changing lives.
Care seeks a world of hope, inclusion and social justice, where poverty can be overcome and all people can live with the dignity and security they deserve.
Women and girls are at the centre of their mission because they believe that we cannot overcome poverty until everyone in the world has equal rights and opportunities.
