Asalaamu alaykum,

Maa is a grass-roots charity which aims to improve maternal health in resource-poor settings, this year starting in Bangladesh. 'Maa' means 'mother' in many languages. This August a team of medical students will travel to Sylhet, Bangladesh to deliver health camps and educational workshops for expecting mothers for the first time, as well as raising awareness about maternal health issues in Bangladesh. 

The main maternal health issues in Bangladesh include lack of access, poor infection control, lack of education, and lack of funding to improve services. Maa aims to tackle these issues and improve maternal health for mothers in resource-poor areas of Bangladesh.

Money raised will go towards the health camps, as well as establishing the first ever Maa maternal clinic due to be completed early next year inshaa'Allah. 

Our mothers have done so much for us throughout our lives, for which we can never repay them. Imagine the reward of supporting a mother at a time of great difficulty for her. Maa is a charity close to my heart, so please give generously from what you can.
