Beyond the terrible living conditions endured by refugees and displaced people in Lebanon and Syria—where millions of people live in fragile makeshift tents—unprecedented and extreme weather conditions have severely damaged thousands of tents. International media has reported the death of at least three children in Syria camps, and thousands more are at risk.

The extreme weather is going to continue, and more tents are at risk of collapse. Our teams and partners on the ground are working on: 

- Shelter relocation for tents at risk of collapse
- Providing heating equipment
- Providing food baskets
