We are raising money for Swansea Bay's Learning Disabilities fund (YT05) because we want to add to the support given to some of the profoundly disabled patients we work with. We work at Swansea Bay's Rehabilitation Engineering Unit where we help many of these people in their posture and pressure needs.

We are Swansea Bay Health Charity, the official charity of Swansea Bay University Health Board. We support patients, staff and services within Swansea Bay University Health Board, managing around 265 funds for equipment, research, training and patient care. We dont replace NHS funding but use the generous donations received from patients, their families, staff and local communities to provide above and beyond what the NHS can provide.From generous donations, we have purchased more comfortable chemotherapy chairs for our patients, funded well being days for our staff to take some time for themselves, therapy pets for our dementia patients and toiletries, nightwear and slippers for patients who are admitted to hospital unexpectedly and don't have family to bring supplies that they need for their stay.
