Story
I have decided to take on a proper lockdown challenge and join in with The Fire Fighters Charity's Fire Family Challenge!
I am going to attempt 999 golf shots in 99 minutes. In my Garden Golf Range I have set up 3 different golf shots where I will take 333 shots at each. That is 9 balls, 37 times at each of the 3 shots making 999 shots. To make it in 99 minutes i'll have to hit a shot every 6 seconds. Think I can do it? I am up for the challenge!
Show your support and give a small donation. For those who don't know my partner Fee, is a Fundraiser for The Fire Fighters Charity and her and her team have developed the Fire Family Challenge to continue to fundraise during lockdown to support Fire and Rescue Service Personnel with their mental health, physical health and social wellbeing.
THE FIRE FIGHTERS CHARITY: Every year our amazing supporters, donors and fundraisers come together to raise the £10m we need to operate our services in support of the entire UK fire services community. This year, however, the coronavirus pandemic has brought our traditional fundraising to a halt, with the cancellation or postponement of countless events and challenges. Furthermore, the Charity does not meet the criteria outlined by Government in regards to grant support. In all, we estimate that we may raise only around 50% of our usual annual fundraising income this year, which means that we may have to curtail our ambitions and plans for the future, unless we can find an alternate way to raise that income. However, just as we are having to devise new ways to deliver our services and support those in need over this period, we are confident that our inspirational fundraisers can rise to the Fire Family Challenge and turn disappointment and frustration into innovation and income.
