We are My Name'5 Doddie Foundation and we're absolutely committed to our goal: A World Free of MND. We will leave no stone unturned in the relentless pursuit of this goal as we fund, guide and enable the smartest, most efficient MND research to catalyse a cure for motor neuron disease.

Story

It was during a South Africa rugby tour with RGS that the effect of MND really hit home - Joost van der Westhuizen (one of the worlds best players in the 90's) was in a wheelchair in a neckbrace, due to him not being able to walk or support his head, as the muscles had deteriorated so much through MND. It was so sad to see a man that had provided so much entertainment and skill on the rugby field restricted to await the inevitable.

With Doddie and most recently Rob Burrow being diagnosed, it is about time we step up and do our bit to find a cure for this distructive disease.

SO...

The rugby community at school have been set the challenge to run/cycle/walk the journey from the school around the four home nations rugby grounds and back to the school (England - Twickenham, Scotland - Murrayfield, Ireland - Aviva Stadium, Wales - Principality Stadium) which totals 1,724km (1,071 miles)
