Warwickshire Police are coming together to raise money for Remarkable Ronnie!
Following the continued success of Newbold RFC’s Brave the Shave campaign and Ronnie’s uncle’s head shave, a number of #RemarkableRecruits from Warwickshire Police are shaving their heads to raise funds for a special little boy!
Ronnie is a brave, beautiful, smiley 2-year-old with Cerebral Palsy affecting all four of his limbs. He also suffers from epilepsy and a visual impairment. Ronnie was born 3 months early and spent 2 months on the neonatal unit at UHCW! Unfortunately Ronnie suffered a brain injury which not only affects his mobility, but his sight, feeding and communication! At the moment, Ronnie is unable to hold his head, roll, sit, or stand unaided and his ability to speak and swallow is also affected. With further intervention and therapy, we can improve Ronnie’s development and give him a fighting chance at independence but we need your help!
The therapy the NHS can provide is fantastic but it is very limited (non existent at present due to COVID-19 restrictions), so we are seeking funding to enrol Ronnie in more intensive therapies which will provide the tailored life-changing support he needs while he is still young and his neural pathways are still developing.
We fully understand how uncertain the current situation is but we hope to spread a bit of joy and anything you can donate will go a long way to giving Ronnie a brighter future! Ronnie and his family will appreciate every single penny donated this cause because it will allow Ronnie to keep developing and gain the much needed help he deserves!
Will you join the #RemarkableArmy and do something incredible for an amazing little soldier?
