As parents we have a great responsibility to bring up our children to become responsible members of society, who will add value to the world we live in and are able to recognise that we live in an unequal world where many people don’t share the same privileges.

When my daughter Samarah said to me that she wants to undertake a charitable activity, I jumped at the chance to do something with her and along with brave 9 year old Zaina and her mum Sheema; 13 year old Amelia and her mum Aleya and their aunt Jakia, we chose too partake in IQra internationals 02 charity climb.

IQra International have launched an appeal to raise funds for the 'iQra Hospital Minibus' a free transportation service for children with disability to travel to the iQra Disabled Childrens Hospital in Sylhet, Bangladesh. From research, they found that many families were reluctant to send their child for treatment to the hospital  as they are either unable to afford the travel expenses involved or there is no one available to take the child to the hospital on a daily basis. This much needed free transport service will enable all children with disability to access free treatment at the iQra Disabled Children's Hospital without adding any additional burden on the family.
