Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My brother Michael who had Downsydrome passed away in December 2004 at the age of 23. In memory of him, I have decided to raise money through running 10k and half marathon races for Martin House in Wetherby where Michael spent some time there in respite care.

Martin House provides free family based care for children with life shortening conditions. It's a place where children, young adults and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.

It costs £9 million a year to provide services for families, 11% of which comes from government funding. I know first hand how vitally important it is to keep Martin House open. It is a life-line for so many families in the region.

Thank you again for taking the time to read and any donations would be greatly appreciated.
