Story
On 1st October 2020 our mam lost her battle to sarcoma cancer. She fought the best fight possible with determination and we could not be prouder. She is one in a million and a fantastic wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
We knew very little about Sarcoma but soon learnt it’s a rare cancer that is often difficult to diagnose. Understanding the symptoms and not ignoring lumps is crucial for an early diagnosis. All of which our mam did. A lump that started off the size of a golf ball in her thigh grew to be a 10lb tumour. Grueling radiotherapy, an operation, complications leading to intensive care and then finding out the cancer had spread to her lungs. Then came chemotherapy and signs were good but then Covid hit and her treatment was suspended and by the time it restarted it was too late.
As a family our lives will never be the same so we decided to support Sarcoma Uk in hope that their research will go on to help other families affected by this cancer.
Sarcoma Uk offer support to families so we are grateful to you all for every pound donated.
From the bottom of our hearts ….thank you 💛💛💛
