We sadly lost my yiayia/grandmother in March to health complications caused by vascular dementia which both she and my granddad have been suffering from in the last 5 years or so. They were so in love throughout their entire lives, and seeing their deterioration to the point that they could no longer communicate, and yiayia's body giving up on her was heart breaking. Dementia is such a horrible illness that doesn't seem to escape any family these days. Dementia UK strive to help make specialist dementia care available and more accessible, and this has been so important to our family in helping us. Anything that you can donate will be much appreciated.
