On the 13th January 2016, our family received the devastating, tragic news that Peter had taken his own life. The shock, the numbness, the pain we felt and continue to feel, is too unbearable to put into words. 

Peter was a precious gem of a human being. He was kind, funny, generous, loving, handsome and overall, quite unique. Amongst those whose lives he touched are not just those of his family, but his many friends spanning a variety of ages, from young to old. 

There is little comfort we can take from the fact that Peter is gone and we can never hear his singing, have a laugh with him or be warmed by his smile again. That said, we can help to make a difference to other families and through fundraising for the Papyrus charity, encourage young men and women to speak out when they are feeling low. 

We will remember Peter forever, he will never leave our hearts. Such a special person deserves a long lasting legacy, and we can definitely give him that.
