At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

A champion cyclist, a medal winner at the Commonwealth Games, king of the slopes - but most importantly the most loving Paps and father. He was a huge part of all of our lives, and no words will ever be enough to express how devastated we are at his passing.

Paps was always the man with several lives - overcoming multiple cycling injuries, beating cancer twice, battling Alzheimer's and defeating COVID-19. Hopefully now he's having a well-earned rest, drinking all the tea and eating all the cake. He never failed to bring a smile to our faces, even when Alzheimer's made life foggy around him.

We want to honour his memory by continually fundraising to help beat a disease that takes so much from people like Paps and their loved ones. We will continue to remember him as the truly incredible man he was, and if you would like to make a donation on his behalf to the Alzheimer's Society, it would be greatly appreciated.
