My Daddy was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer on 16th September 2022. He fought as hard as he could and faced every obstacle with such strength and grace and never complained about the cards he had been dealt. He was so brave and courageous through it all and I will never forget how even in his most difficult days he continued to be  positive and upbeat and , as per usual,  our family’s backbone. Unfortunately we did not get the outcome we had hoped for and he lost his battle just 184days after his diagnosis. Throughout them days we had many ups and downs and quite a few hospital stays, so when his time was to come he wanted it to be at home, in his own bed, surrounded by the ones he loved. Marie Curie nurses  enabled us to fulfil his wish by caring for him in his last 3nights with us.  Without their care and support he would have had to pass in the hospital, the place he was so tired of seeing. . Marie curie  nurses work night and day in peoples homes and in their  hospices, and  offer specialist care to the terminally ill. It’s so important to help raise money for them as they are only partly funded, and everyone deserves to die in their own comforts 🌼
