Story

Helen Albans died at home following a short illness in May 2019. In her last few days the nurses from the Hospice visited her, made her comfortable and helped us all. To mark the first anniversary, a group of our family and friends had volunteered to do the 10K or the Half Marathon in Manchester on May 24th, but of course that has been postponed until the autumn. I am currently on Sabbatical so Sundays are free but in October I can't guarantee that I'll be available.

So instead, I am going to run the inaugural Barley Rise Estate Half Marathon - which will be five times around every road on our housing estate here in York. I will begin at 6.30am so Social Distancing shouldn't be a problem! And the Hospice, like so many charities needs funds now, as well as in October.  St Leonard's is a great place to support, so that others can benefit from their support and care.
