Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

My dear friend Nicola died on 22nd September this year after three years of fighting a glioblastoma brain tumour. I have known Nicola for more than 15 years and during this time she was a faithful and wonderful friend. She was there for me in my darkest moments and laughed many times with me.  I have never known another friend or person like her. Sadly towards the end of her life, Nicola was very weak and did not wish to have many visitors. This means I never got the chance to say goodbye or tell her how precious she was to me. I thought that by running the London Marthon to raise money for  Cherry Lodge Cancer Care I could give something back. Nicola went there for support and compassion and I hope the money I raise will provide this opportunity to someone else. So another person will know their loved one was helped when they need it most.

Your support means so much to me. The marathon is a massive physical challenge for me and the experience of raising funds and people supporting me has been really touching so far. Thank you
