We provide a helpline, and webchat service to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

On 28th September, Chris Fagan and I are running the Ealing Half Marathon in memory of our friend Phil who took his own life after a battle with depression in September 2012.

Last year, as part of a 10 person team, we raised nearly £6,000 for Mind Charity in Phil's memory by completing the 3 peaks challenge. This year we are supporting CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), which exists to prevent male suicide in the UK.   Male suicide accounts for 77% of all suicides here and is now the single biggest cause of death in men aged 20 – 49 in England and Wales. We have set ourselves a target of £1,500 for this challenge and hope to help other people in Phil's situation.
