Story
Hi! Thank you very much for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. I'm taking part in the "Accenture Kilimanjaro Challenge 2009" to raise money for Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO).
VSO is the largest independent charity in the world, working through volunteers. They work in over 30 countries in the poorest regions of the world. Instead of sending money, food or clothes, they send people from a range of professions who want to make a difference. VSO volunteers work in six specific areas: HIV and AIDS, disability, participation and governance, secure livelihoods, education, health and well-being. Volunteers come from a range of backgrounds, countries and ages. They recruit volunteers from 6 bases: the UK, Canada, India, the Netherlands, Kenya and the Philippines. Volunteers work in the most disadvantaged countries in the world, sharing their professional skills and experience with local people.
The money you raise could help volunteers fight global poverty and disadvantage in the following ways:
As part of the Fundraising challenge a group of amazing people (including me) will be trekking Mount Kilimanjaro. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Voluntary Service Overseas will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
