Story

!!PLEASE DO NOT DONATE TO THIS PAGE - UPDATE COMING SOON!!

Hi! My name’s Ren and this year I’m going to do something INCREDIBLE!

I've decided to do something to both celebrate my life and, more importantly, to help out a charity.

2019 marks my 21st birthday year, and being in remission from cancer for 15 years.

To celebrate, I'm supporting the RSPCA by taking part in a sponsored trek to Mount Everest Base Camp this September. That's a round trip of 80 miles! I'll be climbing to heights of 17,600ft with limited access to showers or communication with the rest of the world, whilst trying not to think about the threat of altitude sickness.

My goal is to raise £5,000.

The RSPCA helps to look after thousands of animals subjected to cruelty across England and Wales, and is a very important part of my life.

In February 2018 I started volunteering at my local RSPCA branch, dog walking every weekend. This provided me with not only an outlet to get out of the house and do something positive, it also enabled me to be around and help animals. Although I was mostly dog walking, I did get to see the shocking results of some people's cruelty.

Today, I'm lucky enough to have landed my dream job working in the RSPCA HQ, helping to campaign and give animals a much needed voice.

With your help and encouragement, I'll be able to reach my goal to raise money for such an essential charity- as well as training and climbing part of the highest mountain in the world!

I can't wait to be able to look back on this and say "Yes! I really did that!"

Thank you for any money donated x
