Ren's Big Bike Ride

Ren's Big Bike Ride · 2 August 2019
Hello and welcome to my JustGiving page!
Earlier this year I announced that I would be trekking to Mount Everest Base Camp in an attempt at raising money for the RSPCA. However, that trek was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, and instead I have decided to create, manage and take part in my own sponsored event to raise much needed funds for the RSPCA (England & Wales).
Instead, I will be attempting a 15 day bike ride, visiting 15 RSPCA establishments to celebrate being 15 years cancer free.
My goal is to raise £5,000.
The RSPCA helps to look after thousands of animals subjected to cruelty across England and Wales, and is a very important part of my life.
In February 2018 I started volunteering at my local RSPCA branch, dog walking every weekend. This provided me with not only an outlet to get out of the house and do something positive, it also enabled me to be around and help animals. During my time there I got to see the shocking results of some people's cruelty.
Today, I'm lucky enough to have landed my dream job working in the RSPCA HQ, helping to campaign and give animals a much needed voice.
With your help and encouragement, I'll be able to reach my goal to raise money for such an essential charity- and manage to cross the finish line at the end of my self driven adventure (hopefully all in one piece).
My cycle route is approximately 500 miles so would appreciate any help along the way! If you happen to live near any of my checkpoints and are free on the proposed day of arrival, please do stop by to say hello.
I'll be posting my updates here, as well as my social media pages so keep your eyes peeled!
I've never done anything like this before, let alone by myself.
I appreciate any money donated, and I can assure you it's going to such a deserving cause.
Wish me luck, and maybe I'll see you along the way!
