This year I have done a mountain trek, a waterfall trek and now I'm starting a half marathon. If you had told me this a year before I would have never believed you. But that's the thing, sometimes we end up in places we thought we could ever be. But I'm glad I'm here. Because not only has running become so important to me it has become important to me to continue sadaqah jariyah for my dad. What other way than gruelling through 13miles what my sister says is hard, to even drive. 

Its been done and it will be done again by me! With the help of all my family, friends and supporters! This cause is immensely important, providing water globally is such a fundamental right. Here in the UK we are so accustomed to water being readily available to us through our taps, when I did not have tap water for three hours I felt sad. How silly and insignificant it is compared to all the people around the world unable to access clean water. Who walk for miles to provide for their siblings, who have no choice but to bathe and drink in the very same water.

My struggle won't ever be the same as theirs, but I'd like to help if I can and I'd like to feel even a fraction of how they feel. Help me help them! 

Muslim Hands is the charity I'm working with to fundraise money for clean water around the world in countries that are in dire need. 

With over 800,000 people dying from water-related illnesses each year, unsafe water is the single biggest obstacle to the progression and health of communities across the developing world.

Muslim Hands works worldwide to provide families and communities with access to clean water and appropriate sanitary facilities. We work with a wide range of communities, varying our approach to reflect the specific needs of our beneficiaries. Assessing the need for water on an individual basis, we tailor our solutions to address specific problems.

This new half marathon will showcase London's most iconic landmarks including  Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye. It will also shine a light on London's quirky and hidden history! It's an exciting route and will be a real challenge
