Greater Manchester Mayor's Charity Bus Pull · 17 August 2023 ·

We are an independent charity who believes homelessness has no place here in Greater Manchester. We bring people, businesses and communities together to pioneer new ideas. Through prevention and intervention change is possible.

Story

Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity raises funds to support homelessness initiatives across the city region. Nobody in our city region should be without a safe, secure place to call home. Yet there are many for whom this is out of reach. It isn't right. Not anywhere, but certainly not here.

Resource Solutions have put a two teams of 5 together to take part in this charity bus pull event.

On the 17th of August, teams of 5 will pull one of the charities two 11,220kg buses 30 meters to the finish line inside the iconic Central Hall at Manchester Central.

Victors will be crowned Greater Manchester’s Strongest Team but all will be celebrated as champions for Greater Manchester Mayor’s Charity.

The event is running from 10am to 6pm, with up to 50 teams competing, each team raising a minimum of £500 to enter. The event will welcome Mayor Andy Burnham on the day, and look forward to some widespread coverage of what will prove an extremely exciting event!
