Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you know me personally you will know that earlier this year I volunteered in Uganda with Restless Development. Here I witnessed the amazing work they do on the ground to empower young people so that they play active and decision making roles in developing their communities and world! They do this through ensuring people are healthy, can protect themselves against STI's and HIV/AIDS, know how to create sustainable livelihoods that lift them out of poverty and can work with people all over the world to have their voices heard and actions amplified!

Since returning I have worked alongside other young volunteers to share positive stories of development, publicise what people are doing to help themselves in the Global South and taken action across many development campaigns. But now it's time to challenge myself again, in January I will be heading off on placement again. This time I will be leading a group of national and international volunteers for 6 months in Zambia. I need to fundraise £800 to ensure this fantastic programme continues to run. This money does not directly pay for my work, this is funded by the UK government. What it does do is guarantee this programme continues and has real development impact that benefits us all! It also makes sure that young people from all over the world become the policy makers, leaders, activists and world changers of today, not tomorrow, TODAY!
