Refuge opened the world’s first refuge in West London in 1971. We support thousands of women & children every day, experiencing domestic and sexual violence, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, stalking, trafficking, prostitution & so-called ‘honour’ based violence.

Story

Crown Court Church of Scotland has chosen to support Refuge for December's retiring offering. Refuge provides a variety of specialist services including the running of refuges, community outreach projects and a 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline. These services have come under severe pressure since the lockdown measures were implemented at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Refuge has recently launched their Christmas Appeal to help keep services running. These vital services are life-saving and are needed more than ever this year.

Instead of just having the offering on one Sunday as we normally do, we are providing an opportunity throughout December to give either in Church or online.
