On March 2nd 2008 I'm running the Liverpool Half Marathon for the 2nd time running. Last year I ran for o2H, a Christian charity which works to raise money for towns and villages out in Africa. However, this year I have decided to run for a different charity.

On March 25th 2007, after finishing my race I received heart-breaking news that the mother of one of my best friends, Sheila Lister had been diagnosed with breast cancer. From then on, when I looked back on the race, I couldn't help but feel down.

However, because of our amazing God, Sheila was healed! The cancer disappeared and the Doctors were shocked as to how it happened. We know though!

I felt that I wanted to run this Half-Marathon for Cancer Research UK, because of what happened throughout the year of 2007. I don't think you ever realise how horrendous Cancer is until someone close to you gets it. I felt the pain a long with many others and I really want to raise money for Cancer Research so less families and friends feel this horrific pain.
