Reuben is supporting his friend Jesse as he takes on his big brothers slideathon challenge!
In April last year, Jesse’s big brother, Larsen, raised a whopping £2,293 for Nottingham Children’s Hospital by taking on a huge slideathon challenge - going down 26 slides in one day, all dotted around different parks in Nottingham.
This year, Jesse is taking part in the Coronavirus “2.6 challenge” to raise money for Clic Sergent - a charity that has supported Jesse’s family through the last 12 months, in memory of Larsen.
Reuben would like nothing more, right now, than to see Jesse and go down slides with him. So even though he can’t physically be there to support him, he can be there in spirit and hopefully raise some vital funds along the way. Reuben will be attempting to take on the same quest as Larsen and Jesse - to go down his slide 26 times! This may not sound like a difficult task, but please remember that both Jesse and Reuben are under 3 years old with a very short attention span😂
Jesse will be completing his challenge at the weekend and Reuben will be completing his next week (because Mummy needs a bit of help holding the baby and Daddy is working all weekend!)
Clic Sergent work tirelessly to support children and families fighting cancer in a number of different ways (You can find out more here : https://www.clicsargent.org.uk/what-we-do/the-six-ways-we-help/). BUT the current situation with the Coronavirus has meant that Clic Sergent have lost 60% of their funding. They’ve had to cancel hundreds of fundraising events and have no way of recouping the vital funds that would help to support children and families newly diagnosed with cancer.
So... keeping with the 2.6 theme, we’re asking our friends and family to sponsor Reuben the cost of a takeaway coffee (that you can no longer spend your money on because we’re all in Lockdown) and sponsor him £2.60 for his challenge (or more if you can spare)..
Thank you 🙏
Lots of love,
Cat, Rich, Ru, Noah & Ted xxx
