We fund care, campaigning and research to achieve a world free from MND

Story

Many people grow a moustache for charity during November.

But Andrew Taylor, the City of Lincoln Council's Chief Executive Officer, has decided it is time to do the opposite.

After 38 years, his top lip needs some sunlight, so Andrew has pledged to shave off his 'tache in front of colleagues and the media if he can raise £200 for charity.

If he can raise £100 he will still shave it off, but in the comfort of his own home.

All charity raised will go to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, which is the Mayor's Charity of the year. A former member of staff was recently diagnosed with the condition and the charity have helped him since his diagnosis.

Offline donations from council staff will be added to the total just before midday on Tuesday so Andrew can learn whether the moustache will be gone for the first time since he was 16.

Keep an eye on www.lincoln.gov.uk or in the media on Tuesday (November 5), to see what happens....
